Job details
Software Engineers have experience overseeing software development projects writing optimised code and provide technical leadership to a team of software engineers. They are responsible for the quality and functionality of the software produced by their team.
Key duties and responsibilities
- Applicants should understand the Departments business and our mission.
- The IT Project teams are small resource groups working closely with business teams so ability to perform cohesively in this space is key.
- This role is Canberra based. The Department will consider options for candidates to work outside of ACT however Canberra staff are preferred.
Essential Criteria
- Demonstrated experience developing solutions using Microsoft Dynamics 365 Dataverse and the Power Platform including Power Pages.
- Strong front-end development skills using JavaScript/TypeScript HTML and CSS with experience in modern frameworks such as .
- Strong full-stack development skills including experience with C# .NET REST APIs JSON and SQL and integrating front-end applications with backend services.
- Experience with Azure and Power Platform integration technologies such as API Management Azure Functions Logic Apps and Power Automate.
- Experience working with established application architectures development patterns and reusable components including Azure DevOps source control and CI/CD practices.
- Strong analytical problem-solving and communication skills with demonstrated experience working collaboratively within multidisciplinary delivery teams.
Desirable Criteria
- Experience with AI and intelligent automation technologies such as Azure AI Microsoft Copilot AI Builder generative AI or agent-based solutions.
- Relevant Microsoft certifications across Power Platform Dynamics 365 Azure or AI will be highly regarded.
