Duty Manager – Patio by Range

Patio by Range in Paddington is one of Brisbanes favourite neighbourhood spots a sun-soaked courtyard venue known for great beer bold food and a loyal community of regulars. We are growing and we are looking for people who want to grow with us.

The Role

We are looking for an experienced and capable Assistant Manager to join the team at Patio as our 2IC. You will work alongside the Venue Manager to keep the venue running at its best leading shifts developing the team and making sure every guest has a great experience.

This is a full-time role reporting directly to the Venue Manager. On shifts when the Venue Manager is off-site you are the leader the person the team looks to and the person responsible for the is the right role for someone who is ready to step up take ownership of a shift and make a real contribution to a venue they are proud to work in.

What You Will Be Responsible For

1. Leading shifts at Patio with confidence professionalism and a high standard of service
2. Managing and developing the front-of-house team on shift
3. Ensuring opening and closing procedures are executed to a consistently high standard
4. Handling end-of-day takings and cash management
5. Supporting the Venue Manager with day-to-day operations and team supervision
6. Maintaining venue presentation and cleanliness standards throughout every service
7. Assisting with stock control restocking and par level maintenance
8. Supporting the smooth coordination of food and beverage service between FOH and the kitchen
9. Assisting in the delivery of special events and functions as required
10. Escalating any operational safety or team issues to the Venue Manager promptly

What We Are Looking For

• Experience in a senior floor or supervisory hospitality role
• Strong knowledge of beer and wine with the ability to engage and educate guests
• A confident hands-on shift leader who sets a strong example
• Reliable organised and detail-oriented
• RSA certified (or able to obtain prior to starting)
• Available across a rotating roster including weekends
