Were looking for a Senior Staff Engineer to lead the development of next-generation audio and video solutions that combine advanced signal processing machine learning and embedded software engineering. Design and implement licensable audio and video technologies across the full development chain from research and prototyping through software implementation to testing and quality assurance and support internal and external customers.

What Youll Do

  • Invent and prototype new audio and video experiences.
  • Apply classical DSP and machine learning techniques to solve real-world challenges.
  • Take concepts from research through to deployment on consumer devices.
  • Develop high-performance portable C/C software for embedded platforms.
  • Lead system architecture design reviews and technical decision-making.
  • Use AI-powered development tools to accelerate innovation and productivity.
  • Drive complex engineering projects and influence technical direction.
  • Mentor engineers and represent Dolby with customers and partners.

What Youll Bring

  • Bachelors degree or higher in Electrical Engineering Computer Science or related field.
  • 10 years experience in DSP embedded systems and real-time software development.
  • Deep expertise in DSP fundamentals including filtering transforms beamforming noise reduction and non-linear processing.
  • Hands-on experience developing and deploying machine learning models on edge devices.
  • Strong C/C development skills and understanding of processor architectures.
  • Proven track record leading complex technical projects and delivering production-ready solutions.
  • Experience leveraging generative AI tools to improve engineering productivity.
