Job Summary

Urgently hiring Disability Support Worker in Bondi Junction
We are seeking a compassionate and reliable Disability Support Worker to join a dedicated support team.

This opportunity is ideal for support workers seeking extra shifts to complement their existing schedule.

You will play an important role in supporting the participants independence maintaining his daily routine and helping him continue living comfortably and safely in his own home.

About The Role:
You will provide support:
  • To a male participant.
  • Assisting with personal care and hygiene routines.
  • Supporting medication routines and monitoring blood sugar levels.
  • Assisting with safe manual handling transfers and positioning (including hoist transfers).
  • Emptying and managing urine bags and cleaning flushing equipment.
  • Supporting the participant to maintain independence and quality of life at home.
  • Building a positive and respectful relationship with the participant.
  • Following individual support plans and established care routines.


About You:
We are looking for a support worker who is:
  • Experienced with Multiple Sclerosis (MS) quadriplegia and other complex physical support needs.
  • Experienced in manual handling and personal care.
  • Calm patient and respectful.
  • Reliable and committed to providing consistent support.
  • Able to communicate effectively and work collaboratively with support teams.
  • Passionate about promoting dignity choice and inclusion.


Ongoing Shifts Available:
  • Tuesday 8:30-10:30am (2h).
  • Thursday 8:30-10:30am (2h).

Additional shifts may be available in the future subject to needs and roster availability.


What Were Looking For:
  • Minimum 2 years experience as a Disability Support Worker.
  • Experience supporting participants with complex physical disabilities.
  • Experience with hoists commodes manual handling and personal care.
  • Ability to follow health and support routines accurately.
  • Strong English communication skills.
  • Proactive approach to supporting clients to achieve their goals and maintain independence.


What Youll Be Doing:
  • Assisting with personal care and daily living activities.
  • Supporting safe transfers mobility and positioning.
  • Assisting with morning routines and health-related tasks.
  • Supporting the participant to remain comfortable and independent at home.
  • Providing respectful care while maintaining dignity and privacy.
  • Working collaboratively with the broader care team.
  • Following care plans and completing required documentation.


Compliance Requirements:
  • NDIS Workers Screening Check (Service NSW).
  • Valid First Aid & CPR Certificate.
  • Working with Children Check (WWCC).
  • Preferably driving with a full Australian drivers licence own car with comprehensive car insurance.
