Were seeking expressions of interest from talented individuals across the Department of Planning Housing and Infrastructure for a temporary Director Budget Strategy and Performance opportunity within Corporate Services.

This is a unique opportunity to lead the Departments budget strategy and performance function partnering with senior executives Ministers offices NSW Treasury and key stakeholders to maximise funding outcomes and deliver strategic priorities.

As Director Budget Strategy and Performance youll provide strategic leadership across budget development business planning performance reporting and asset portfolio management. Youll influence key investment decisions lead Cabinet and Expenditure Review Committee submissions and ensure the Department is well placed to deliver government priorities while maintaining strong financial stewardship and governance.

About you

You are a strategic and influential finance leader who thrives in complex environments and is motivated by making a meaningful impact. You bring extensive experience in financial governance budgeting and executive leadership with a proven ability to build trusted relationships lead high-performing teams and provide expert advice that enables better business outcomes.

Essential requirements

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications or equivalent experience and professional accounting qualifications (e.g. CPA CA).
  • Relevant experience at a senior level in business and budget planning reporting and project management.
