Your role

Homes NSW is seeking an experienced and motivated Development Manager to support the delivery of a diverse portfolio of residential developments ranging from medium-density projects through to large-scale urban renewal initiatives.

Reporting to the Senior Development Manager Southern NSW you will manage projects across the full project lifecycle including planning procurement governance stakeholder engagement risk management and project delivery.

You will work collaboratively with government agencies consultants contractors and community stakeholders to deliver quality housing outcomes that align with Homes NSW strategic priorities.

What youll do

As a Development Manager you will lead the delivery of residential development projects from planning and procurement through to completion ensuring outcomes are achieved within agreed timeframes budgets and quality standards.

You will manage project risks and governance processes provide advice and reporting to senior stakeholders and build productive relationships with government agencies consultants contractors and community stakeholders.

Working across a diverse portfolio of projects you will apply strong project management commercial and stakeholder engagement skills to deliver housing and urban renewal outcomes that support the strategic objectives of Homes NSW.

What were looking for

We are seeking a proactive and collaborative project professional with experience delivering complex property development construction or infrastructure projects. To be successful in this role you will demonstrate:

  • Experience managing projects through the full lifecycle including planning procurement governance delivery and close-out.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to manage risks budgets timelines and competing priorities to achieve quality outcomes.
  • Well-developed stakeholder engagement and relationship management skills with the ability to work effectively across government industry and community stakeholders.
  • Excellent communication skills including the ability to prepare high-quality reports briefings and project documentation and present complex information clearly to diverse audiences.
  • Sound knowledge of property development construction and project delivery principles including governance compliance and risk management frameworks.
  • The ability to plan prioritise and adapt in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a focus on delivering strategic outcomes.
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in construction management property development or a related discipline.
  • The role may involve travel both locally and regionally including overnight travel as required by the business and/or directed.
