Are you an experienced Development Manager who would love to be involved in delivering a unique social housing project
The Development Manager provides dedicated internal project management and coordination governance and oversight of BYS property and infrastructure projects with an initial focus on the Haven House Brisbane development.
This part-time 2-year contract role supports effective project planning risk management stakeholder coordination and reporting to ensure projects are delivered in line with BYS strategic objectives governance requirements and funding obligations. Reporting to the CEO the position works across BYS and with external partners to support informed decision-making and successful housing outcomes for young people and young families.
Youll be a great candidate for this role if you:
- Have a tertiary qualification in project management construction property engineering business or a related discipline.
- Can demonstrate proven success leading complex social affordable and residential housing projects from concept to completion ensuring delivery against scope timelines budgets quality standards and strategic objectives.
- Have strong expertise in project governance risk management budgeting reporting and stakeholder engagement with the ability to balance competing priorities and drive multiple project streams simultaneously.
- Can demonstrate the ability to build and maintain effective relationships with internal teams external partners consultants and contractors to achieve project goals and deliver successful outcomes.
- Have extensive hands-on experience across the full residential development lifecycle including feasibility assessment planning design funding acquisition construction management and project delivery.
- Possess highly developed communication skills with experience preparing executive Board and project reports coupled with the ability to work independently exercise sound judgement and contribute to collaborative teams.
Given the work that we do there will be a few non-negotiables. Youll need to be able to have or obtain prior to commencement:
- A Working with Children Suitability Card Blue Card.
- A National Coordinated Criminal History Check Police Check.
- Evidence of vaccination immunity or medical exemption for the following preventable diseases Measles Mumps Rubella Varicella Chicken Pox and Pertussis Whooping Cough.
