About therole:

The City has an excitingopportunity for a Development Control Officer to join our team. Therole is a technical advisor problem solver and project leaderworking at the intersection of engineering planning developmentand community outcomes. From reviewing complex engineering designsto collaborating with developers consultants and governmentagencies youll help ensure development across the City isdelivered safely sustainably and to a high standard.

What youll bring to therole:

The ideal candidate will align withthe Citys Values and be able to demonstrate the belowcompetencies:

• Recognised qualifications (Engineering) or demonstrated relevant experience.
• Good communication written and interpersonal skills with the ability to deal effectively with developers consulting engineers and members of the community whilst maintaining a strong customer focus.
• Ability to provide accurate advice in the area of engineering development.
• An ability to perform composite analysis interpret technical data and consider complex design elements attached to development.
• Knowledge of civil engineering design / design review construction techniques materials and equipment in the context of subdivision and land development.
• Knowledge of planning process and the relevant statutory guidance for greenfield subdivision and urban infill development sites

Pre-employmentrequirements:

• Current C Class drivers licence.
• National Police Clearance not more than six months old.
• Proof of right to work in Australia.
• White Card.
