Our Mudgeeraba practice is your local family dentist right in the Mudgeeraba Marketplace and led by Principal Dentist Dr Alison Downes: a modern friendly clinic where the team genuinely enjoys working together and patients are treated like neighbours.

About the role

This is a full-time Dental Assistant role at our Mudgeeraba practice. You will work right beside our dentists through every appointment keeping the day running smoothly: rooms ready instruments sterile patients comfortable. You will know what each clinician needs before they ask keep the sterilisation room running like clockwork and help every patient feel at ease from the moment they sit down. Our clinic is set up with modern tech including digital X-rays and intraoral cameras so you will work with good gear every day.

Roster:

Monday Tuesday Wednesday Friday. (Hours can discussed at interview with some flexibility)

Thursdays and Saturdays are RDOs (Rostered Days off) and the Practice is closed Sunday.

What youll be doing
  • Assist chairside across a full range of dental procedures anticipating what each clinician needs
  • Set up and turn over treatment rooms instruments and materials to protocol
  • Run the sterilisation room: clean package sterilise store and keep accurate digital records
  • Welcome seat and reassure patients so they feel comfortable throughout their visit
  • Help with charting digital X-rays and preparing post-treatment instructions
  • Keep surgery stock topped up and flag anything that needs ordering
  • Pitch in at reception and across the team when the day calls for it
What were looking for
Essential
  • At least 2 years of experience as a Dental Assistant
  • A solid understanding of infection control and sterilisation protocols or a genuine eagerness to develop them
  • Clear warm communication with patients and team members
  • Ability to prioritise manage your time and work well in a team
  • Professional presentation and up-to-date immunisations
Preferred
  • Working knowledge of Dental4Windows (D4W) or similar program
  • Certificate III or IV in Dental Assisting or the willingness to work towards one
  • Experience with reception or front-desk duties
