Delivery Capacity Manager
Job Summary
Were looking for a Delivery Capacity Manager to bring visibility and structure to how resourcing works across RAAs transformation portfolio. This is a newly shaped role at the heart of our Project Management Office. Resourcing practices across the portfolio are still developing so youll play a lead role in shaping how they work testing your approach against real programs and adjusting as you go. Youll give program teams and leaders a clear reliable view of whos working on what where capacity is stretched and where trade-offs need to happen before they become delivery risks.
Youll build the workforce planning and resourcing practices that underpin our transformation program working closely with Technology Business Unit leaders and People & Capability to keep resourcing decisions proactive and evidence-based rather than reactive.
What Youll Do
Develop and establish a centralised reliable view of resource capacity allocation and utilisation across the transformation portfolio building this and then refining it as it is used
Develop resource demand forecasts in partnership with program teams well ahead of delivery milestones
Identify capacity constraints and pinch points early and facilitate trade-off conversations across competing programs
Provide resourcing feasibility input into investment and initiative decisions shaping how that input is captured as the process matures
Design and produce consolidated time and utilisation reporting for governance forums Build strong relationships across Technology Business Units and People & Capability as a trusted advisor on resourcing and capacity
Play a lead role in identifying and standing up the right tools and processes for tracking resourcing and utilisation across the portfolio
About You
5 years experience in workforce planning resource management or capacity planning within a large complex organisation running multiple concurrent programs
Comfortable making decisions without an established playbook and confident to build the approach test it against real work and adapt it as required to help program teams
Genuinely motivated by the opportunity to shape a new practice
Experience managing resourcing across competing priorities and with time/resource tracking tooling and reporting
Strong analytical and facilitation skills comfortable modelling demand and supply and leading trade-off conversations across stakeholders
Understanding of transformation delivery methodologies (Agile Hybrid Waterfall) and portfolio/governance reporting practices
A tertiary qualification in Business HR Workforce Planning Project Management or similar is desirable as is formal training in workforce/resource or capacity planning
