Database Administrator

The Departmentfor Infrastructure and Transport plays a vital role connecting people andplaces in South Australia by managing roads marine and public transportnetworks across the State and builds and maintains the State-ownedinfrastructure that enables the delivery of essential and important governmentservices to our community.

The InformationServices Directorate delivers essential ICT services across the Departmentwhile partnering with customers and stakeholders to drive innovative digitaland customer-focused outcomes.

As a DatabaseAdministrator youll support PostgreSQL and SQL environments in a hybrid cloudenvironment focusing on managing tuning and optimising databases whilecontributing to the migration of Oracle databases to PostgreSQL on AWS workingclosely with vendors and ensuring compliance with standards and policies todeliver secure high-performance and highly available services.

Special Conditions

• A National Police Check (NPC) is required prior to employment in the Department for Infrastructure and Transport which must be renewed every three years.
• A Working with Children Check (WWCC) is required prior to employment with the Department for Infrastructure and Transport which must be renewed every five years before expiry.
• This role may be required to provide after-hours on-call support throughout the year.
• Some out of hours and weekend work may be required.

Remuneration
ASO5 - $92122 to $102456 pa superannuation.
