Key Responsibilities

• Design build and maintain scalable data pipelines and data infrastructure.
• Develop and deploy machine learning models predictive analytics and statistical solutions.
• Collaborate with product operations and business stakeholders to deliver data-driven outcomes.
• Maintain data quality governance frameworks and documentation standards.
• Analyze complex datasets related to financial advice consumer behavior and market trends.
• Develop dashboards reporting tools and data products for internal and external stakeholders.
• Stay current with AI/ML analytics and financial advice industry developments.

Required Skills & Experience

Essential

• Strong understanding of the Australian financial advice ecosystem including AFSL structures advisers product platforms and regulatory frameworks (FASEA DDO Best Interests Duty).
• Hands-on experience with ETL/ELT pipelines SQL cloud platforms (AWS Azure or GCP) and workflow orchestration tools.
• Strong Python programming skills for data processing modelling and analysis.
• Practical experience in statistics machine learning and predictive analytics.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain insights to technical and non-technical audiences.

Highly Regarded

• Experience in financial advice technology wealth management or fintech.
• Familiarity with ASIC data sources and the Financial Advisers Register.
• Experience building data products or analytics platforms in commercial environments.
• Exposure to NLP and unstructured data analysis.
• Previous startup or scale-up experience.
