Contribute to the security and resilience of critical government systems and information
Resolve Recruit is partnering with a leading Commonwealth Government agency to secure a skilled Cyber Security GRC Advisor. This is a fast-paced technically demanding role sitting within a dedicated cyber security team where your ability to conduct thorough security risk assessments and produce high-quality security documentation will directly support the protection of critical government systems and information.
In this role you will conduct security risk assessments across a range of ICT systems and applications - including Azure Cloud environments legacy infrastructure AI technologies and complex enterprise systems - in accordance with the Protective Security Policy Framework (PSPF) the Information Security Manual (ISM) and the Essential Eight. You will contribute to the development and review of Security documentation including System Security Plans (SSPs) and SSP Annexes provide guidance to both technical and non-technical stakeholders and present risk assessment findings with confidence to senior executive audiences.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct and review security risk assessments across a range of ICT systems and applications including Azure Cloud environments legacy ICT systems AI technologies and complex enterprise systems
Develop and review security documentation including System Security Plans (SSPs) and SSP Annexes
Provide guidance on application and system designs with reference to PSPF ISM and Essential Eight frameworks
Liaise with technical and non-technical stakeholders on cyber security issues risks and recommendations
Present risk assessment findings and security artefacts to senior executive audiences
Identify opportunities to uplift and improve the security posture of the ICT environment
Key Experience and Skills:
Demonstrated experience conducting security risk assessments within an Australian Government cyber security context
Proficiency in assessing Azure Cloud environments legacy ICT systems AI technologies and complex enterprise systems
Sound working knowledge of the PSPF ISM and Essential Eight frameworks
Strong ability to communicate complex security concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences
Experience presenting risk findings and recommendations to senior stakeholders and executive leadership
Strong understanding of networking infrastructure.
