About the roleThis is a permanent full-time (35 hours/week) opportunity that can be based at the Coffs Harbour or Port Macquarie PSP programs- some flexible working arrangements - travel required across both Coffs Harbour and Port Macquarie We are seeking a dedicated and confident leader to join our Permanency Support Program as Coordinator. This role is responsible for leading and supervising a team of Caseworkers and support staff ensuring safe high-quality and culturally responsive services for children young people and families.A key focus of this role is coaching and mentoring staff around risk and safety strengthening decision-making and ensuring compliance with PSP policy and procedures. You will provide direct supervision and oversight of outcomes for caseworkers attend home visits lead team meetings and represent Uniting at inter-agency forums working in close collaboration with the Department of Communities and Justice (DCJ).In this role you will ensure the PSP Caseworker teams are delivering a contemporary permanency and restoration-focused Practice Framework that is grounded in relational practice and aligned with the HOPE model recognising the importance of connection trust and consistent therapeutic responses for children and young people. Practice will be trauma-informed culturally competent and responsive to individual needs with a strong focus on building meaningful relationships maintaining stability and supporting healing through safe nurturing and strengths-based youTertiary qualification in a community service field.
