Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and pragmatic Control Systems Engineer to join our dynamic team and play a pivotal role in designing developing testing and commissioning cutting-edge control systems this critical engineering role you will be the technical backbone supporting our sales team and customers with deep application understanding while ensuring project feasibility quality and adherence to our robust engineering processes. You will blend technical expertise with hands-on project management driving innovation and continuous improvement in our control systems across various industries.
This position is based out of our Brisbane branch.
Application & Solution Design: Translate customer needs into innovative control system designs for mobile and industrial hydraulic machinery. Advise sales/customers on application understanding feasibility and budgeting.
Technical Development & Project Leadership: Design develop test and commission control systems. Manage small to mid-size projects including risk assessment and mentor junior engineers.
Quality Assurance & Improvement: Uphold engineering quality (PEP-ETO internal documentation system). Expand technical knowledge test new products and drive process improvements.
Customer Support & Field Commissioning: Support component selection testing and commissioning. Create handover documentation. Travel (domestic/international) for system commissioning and customer support.
Qualifications :
Education: Degree in Mechatronics Software Engineering Electrical Engineering or related field.
Experience & Know-How: Proven industrial controller programming (CODESYS IEC 61131-3). Strong analytical problem-solving and fault-finding skills. Proficient in Functional Safety CANBUS & Ethernet Fieldbus. Working mechanical/hydraulic knowledge. Exposure to Electrical design Remote Access Networking IT/Software Web Dev AI Hazardous Areas a plus. Project management experience.
Personal Attributes: Analytical solution-focused pragmatic. Excellent communication. Strong safety commitment. Eager to learn and improve.
Other: Willingness to travel (domestic/international).
