Contracts Manager Senior Contracts Administrator

BESIX Watpac has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Contracts Manager or Senior Contracts Administrator to join our Qld NT & NZ Construction team based in Brisbane. As a key commercial lead you will oversee contract administration on large-scale projects while providing leadership guidance and mentorship to the commercial team.

The key responsibilities of this position include:

• Lead and manage project contract administration ensuring compliance with head contract and subcontract requirements.
• Manage procurement trade package tendering subcontractor negotiations and budget performance.
• Prepare and administer subcontract agreements variations and progress claims.
• Monitor project financial performance through cost reporting forecasting variation tracking and commercial reporting.
• Provide commercial advice to project teams and maintain effective cost controls and contract management.
• Mentor coach and supervise Contracts Administrators Cadets and project administrative staff.
• Manage tender documentation review submissions and prepare tender recommendations.

Qualifications :

The incumbent in this role will require the following qualifications and experience:

• Degree in Quantity Surveying / Construction Management or relevant experience.
• Demonstrated experience in leading contracts administration on large building projects including mentoring and supervising others.
• Ability to communicate influence and build effective relationships at all levels of the business working effectively as part of a team.
• Demonstrated ability to cope with shifting work priorities to deliver results.
• Excellent leadership and stakeholder management capability.
