About the Role

An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced Compliance & Performance Manager to join Ventias Defence Clothing System (DCS) contract based in Melbourne.

Reporting to the Business Manager you will lead the compliance governance and performance framework across the DCS contract ensuring services are delivered in accordance with Defence and Ventia requirements. Working closely with operational teams subcontractors and Defence stakeholders you will drive performance excellence manage compliance risk and support continuous improvement initiatives across the contract.

This role is ideal for a commercially minded professional with experience in logistics supply chain Defence compliance or operational performance environments.

Key Responsibilities

As the Compliance & Performance Manager you will:

  • Lead contract-wide compliance and governance activities across all DCS services.
  • Develop and maintain compliance frameworks aligned with Defence and Ventia requirements.
  • Design and implement auditing assurance and performance monitoring programs.
  • Analyse and report on contractual KPI performance and compliance outcomes.
  • Partner with operational teams and subcontractors to identify and mitigate compliance risks.
  • Provide expert advice to stakeholders on governance compliance and contractual obligations.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance service delivery and operational performance.
  • Prepare accurate and insightful compliance and performance reports.
  • Act as a key escalation point for performance and compliance matters.
  • Promote a customer-focused culture that delivers exceptional outcomes for Defence.

About You

To be successful in this role you will bring:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Supply Chain Logistics Project Management or a related discipline.
  • Experience within logistics supply chain compliance governance or operational performance environments.
  • Strong analytical reporting and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience monitoring KPIs performance metrics and contractual obligations.
  • Sound commercial and financial acumen.
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement and relationship management abilities.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience working within Defence or highly regulated environments will be highly regarded.
  • Experience using Defence systems such as MILIS and PIMS is advantageous.

Security Requirements

Due to the nature of the contract applicants must:

  • Be an Australian Citizen and be eligible to obtain and maintain a Defence Security Clearance.
  • Obtain and maintain a Working with Children Check (where required).
