We are looking for an experienced Compensation & Benefits Specialist to join our People & Culture team. Reporting to the P&C Director youll be the subject matter expert for compensation and benefits across Australia and New Zealand partnering with Finance commercial teams and external providers to deliver best-practice reward programs and payroll governance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Act as the key liaison with the outsourced payroll provider ensuring accurate and compliant payroll processing across Australia and New Zealand.
- Oversee payroll-related compliance superannuation tax workers compensation reporting and HRIS data integrity.
- Approve payroll inputs including employee movements salary changes bonuses and terminations.
- Support payroll accounting reconciliations payroll tax superannuation PAYG/PAYE and statutory reporting.
- Ensure compliance with employment legislation taxation and payroll obligations.
- Manage payroll reporting analysis and month-end activities.
- Support audits and external reporting requirements.
- Support the maintenance of data integrity across Employment Hero Hero Pay and SuccessFactors.
- Lead annual remuneration activities including salary reviews bonus and incentive programs payroll budgeting and quarterly reforecasting.
- Manage job evaluation market benchmarking and remuneration analysis to ensure equitable and competitive reward practices.
- Manage employee benefits administration workforce reporting WGEA and other annual compliance requirements.
- Support broader People & Culture initiatives and projects as required.
About You
Youll bring:
- Experience in compensation benefits and payroll ideally in a retail or multi-site environment.
- Strong knowledge of Australian payroll legislation; New Zealand payroll experience is advantageous.
- Experience with remuneration reviews salary benchmarking and job evaluation.
- Strong analytical skills and advanced Excel capability.
- Experience with HRIS and payroll systems (Employment Hero Hero Pay and/or SuccessFactors preferred).
- Excellent stakeholder management skills with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
