The National Community Hubs Program (NCHP) model is a proven place-based and people-centred way of building connections and social and economic capital within culturally and linguistically diverse are embedded in primary schools and help bridge the gap between families and the wider community. They connect families with each other with their school and with local services and YouThe Community Hubs Support Coordinator plays a key role in delivering the National Community Hubs Program in Coffs Harbour supporting culturally and linguistically diverse families particularly mothers with young children to connect share learn and participate in community life. Working within a partnership between Settlement Services International (SSI) local schools and Community Hubs Australia (CHA) the role supports Hub teams strengthens connections with local services and national networks and oversees program quality frameworks to ensure culturally responsive locally tailored and effective support for families and :Provide coordination liaison and strategic support across all Community Hubs within the local area ensuring consistent high-quality delivery aligned with the National Community Hubs Program and community development and maintain strong collaborative relationships with Hub Leaders school principals and school leadership teams fostering shared ownership and effective program and support local governance and advisory structures including leadership groups with principals and key stakeholders to strengthen community engagement and local the recruitment onboarding and monitoring of new or replacement schools while providing targeted support to existing schools requiring additional guidance to strengthen Hub implementationProvide mentoring training and ongoing support to Hub Leaders enhancing their practice and leadership within a community development framework including community engagement and capacity partnerships and connections between Hubs and local settlement community and early years services improving access and opportunities for collaboratively with Hub Leaders and principals to identify service gaps and emerging community needs and support the development of responsive locally tailored with other support agencies and Community Hubs Australia (CHA) to share outcomes insights and local stories contributing to the national program community of practice and continuous reach out to us for the full Position Description to review the Key Responsibilities and Measures of success. Essential CriteriaRelevant tertiary qualifications in Community Development are highly regarded with qualifications in Human Services Community Services or a related field also theoretical and practical understanding of community development principles and practice including approaches that support community capacity building participation and inclusion of culturally and linguistically diverse understanding of the local needs and experiences of migrant and refugee communities including humanitarian entrants with a strong focus on the needs of women and children aged 05 knowledge and application of community development principles and practice including community capacity building participation and working in culturally responsive and inclusive ways with diverse ability to lead support and develop teams delivering community-based programs that respond to the needs of vulnerable families and promote community connection and ability to build and maintain effective partnerships and collaborative relationships with community groups service providers and government stakeholders to enhance program outcomes and community UsSettlement Services International (SSI Group) is a community-based organisation and social business that supports newcomers and Australians to achieve their full potential.
