About the Role

Fantastic opportunity for an experienced Commercial Manager to join our growing Infrastructure Services division for a Permanent full-time position offering hybrid working model and based out of our offices in Cremorne Victoria but open to other states.

As a Commercial Manager focused on work winning you will be integral to the development of winning strategies robust commercial positions and competitive bids across a diverse portfolio of major infrastructure opportunities.

You will work closely with bid operational and senior leadership teams to shape commercial solutions that balance risk and reward while supporting our growth across the following business units Energy and renewables Water and Environmental services and Resources.

Other role responsibilities include:

• Develop and implement commercial tender strategies aligned with Ventias Work Winning framework
• Review tender documents contract conditions and commercial models to ensure clarity and compliance
• Drive governance requirements including preparation and management of approval gates
• Identify and assess commercial risks opportunities and key bid sensitivities
• Facilitate crossfunctional workshops to challenge assumptions and stresstest positions
• Develop practical bankable risk mitigations with Legal Finance and operational stakeholders
• Prepare and negotiate commercial departures and material contract terms with clients and suppliers
• Partner with estimators and bid teams to review validate and challenge pricing strategies
• Lead highquality bid submissions and provide expert commercial advice throughout precontracts
• Manage precontract procurement activities NDAs and structured handover into delivery

About You

To be successful in your application you will have Tertiary qualifications in Business Legal Construction Management or equivalent accompanied by extensive experience in contract or commercial management.

You will also possess:

• Ability to understand complex commercial models in contracts and consider alternative commercial options
• Ability to develop record and represent to the relevant parties compelling arguments for commercial departures in opportunities
• Experience in Water & Environmental Services Energy & Renewables or Resources ideal
• Proven track record in successfully delivering commercial outcomes including leading the commercial review and closeout on multi-million $ opportunities
• Ability to work flexibly and adapt in a complex environment with multiple stakeholders.
