Clinical Lead headspace (Parental Leave Relief)

The parental leave-relief position is:

• Full-time closed-term(76 hours per fortnight) from18 September 2026 - 6 September 2027
• Based in Parramatta
• Working Monday to Friday

• Working as a member of the leadership team to oversee the day-to-day clinical operation of the service (as delegated).
• Oversee processes to ensure appropriate case planning and coordination for young people and their families accessingheadspace.
• Assertively monitor young people where risk is indicated including regularly assessing the current level of risk and developing action plans to mitigate any risks in accordance with the Flourish Australia risk management framework.
• Provide assessments and evidence-based interventions including group interventions with young people (and their families/carers) accessing headspace.
• Undertake a range of assessments of young people and their families/carers as appropriate including intake assessments initial bio-psychosocial assessments assessments of functioning outcome measures and symptom severity measures.
• Work collaboratively with the young person and their families to develop individual recovery plans and/or service plans including relevant interventions that are person-centred and directed by the young person as much as possible.
• Facilitate regular clinical review meetings and multi-disciplinary team meetings to ensure appropriate consistent and coordinated service pathways and service delivery response for young people and their families/carers.
• Report on individual progress with young people during case discussions/ team meetings and also formally using relevantheadspacedata systems.
• Build and maintain collaborative working relationships with other internal and external service providers including General Practitioners and other medical professionals Government Departments and services Non-Government Organisations and schools.
• Maintain accurate and timely progress notes and reports using an electronic medical records system and data using relevant headspace data systems.

Essential:

1. Minimum three years post-qualification experience delivering mental health assessments and evidence based interventions.
   • Clinical Psychologist or Registered Psychologist who have current full AHPRA registrationor;
   • Occupational therapists who have current full APHRA registration and who have completed additional mental health specific training and hold mental health accreditation with OTAor;
   • Social Workers holding an approved Social Work Qualification (Bachelor/ Master of Social Work) and who have completed additional mental health specific training andeligible for membership of the AASWor;
   • Division 1 Mental Health Nurses who have completed additional training or who have relevant experience within mental health e.g. with post graduate qualifications in mental health nursing.
   • Mental Health Counsellors or Psychotherapistswith a minimum of Level 3 or above requirements outlined within the Australian Counselling Association Scope of Practice Guidelines and who are registered with the relevant membership body (ACA or PACFA or equivalent).
2. Demonstrated advanced skills in the delivery of clinical services to young people and/or providing mental health services or programs including being able to respond to crisis and high-risk situations when required.
3. An in-depth knowledge of recovery focused and family inclusive practice as well as understanding the needs of young people from diverse backgroundsand the ability to effectively engage with them and their family/carers.
4. Experience providing clinical supervision and clinical leadership within a multidisciplinary team.
5. Demonstrated experience in the participation of clinical systems including the implementation and review of Clinical Governance Models privacy and confidentiality principles.
6. Advanced interpersonal teamwork and communication skills.
7. Strong organisational skills with the ability to effectively manage competing demands.
