Client Technical Architect(DWS)
Job Summary
What success looks like in this role:
The Client Technical Architect (CTA) acts as the bridge between business requirements and technology delivery supporting the account team by ensuring that solutions are secure scalable supportable and documented to meet the clients architecture and cyber security gates.
The CTA provides technical leadership throughout the solution lifecycle from discovery and design through architecture governance implementation planning and continual improvement of Digital Workplace Solutions (DWS).
The ideal candidate has a deep understanding of Microsoft 365 (M365) workloads Digital Workplace and security capabilities and on-premises infrastructure substantial experience managing large and complex technology projects strong stakeholder management skills and the ability to produce polished project artefacts and client-facing presentations.
Solution Architecture & Design
- Translate business operational and technical requirements into practical solutions.
- Produce architecture artefacts solution designs and implementation plans to support the clients governance process.
- Contribute to the development of technology roadmaps.
Technical Leadership
- Lead technical workshops discovery sessions and stakeholder engagements.
- Create High-Level Designs (HLD) Low-Level Designs (LLD) and other technical artefacts as required.
- Coordinate technical solutions across multidisciplinary engineering and delivery teams.
- Provide architectural direction and solution consistency across multiple workstreams.
Governance & Assurance
- Ensure solutions comply with the clients architecture standards security requirements and operational frameworks.
- Support architecture review boards and approval processes.
- Validate solution readiness and delivery feasibility working collaboratively with the account team to ensure commercial alignment.
Client & Commercial Engagement
- Work with the CTO to be a trusted advisor to clients and account teams.
- Support bids proposals Statements of Work (SoW) and transformation programs.
Continuous Improvement & Innovation
- Work with the CTO and account team to identify and support the adoption of emerging technologies AI capabilities modern management approaches and workplace innovation solutions.
You will be successful in this role if you have:
- Baseline clearance is required for this role. NV1 preferred.
- Extensive experience within the Managed Service Provider (MSP) space delivering and assuring services for large complex enterprise clients.
- Minimum 10 years experience in IT infrastructure or digital workplace roles including 5 years operating as a solution or technical architect.
- Demonstrated experience delivering large complex technology programs in a client-facing or consulting capacity.
- Working knowledge of project delivery methodologies (Agile Waterfall or hybrid) and PMO governance processes.
- Bachelors degree in information technology Computer Science or a related field or equivalent demonstrated experience.

- End User Compute & SOE: Windows SOE architecture (Windows 10/11) Autopilot provisioning Intune and SCCM device and application lifecycle management.
- Security & Endpoint Protection: Microsoft Defender application control Essential Eight alignment endpoint security architectures.
- Identity & Access: Active Directory and hybrid identity (Entra ID) AD modernisation identity centric and Zero Trust aligned designs.
- Collaboration & Productivity: Microsoft 365 (Exchange Online Teams SharePoint OneDrive).
Highly regarded
- Virtual Desktop & Remote Access: Azure Virtual Desktop secure enclaves and experience transitioning from legacy VDI platforms.
- On-premises infrastructure: servers networking and enterprise applications underpinning hybrid M365 environments.
