Cleaning Coordinator

ABOUT THE ROLE:

Our Facilities team is growing and we arelooking for ahands-on organised Cleaning Coordinator to help keep the Cairns Convention Centre looking its this roleyou will helpmanage and support our casual cleaning team. This is a fantastic opportunity to develop your leadership skills.

What you will be doing:

• Coordinate and support the cleaning team to ensure the Centre is clean tidy and presented to a high standard
• Perform daily cleaning duties and ensure all cleaning checklists are complete
• Train and support team members in safe cleaning practices including the use of chemicals and equipment
• Work closely with other departments promote exceptional customer service and ensure workplace health and safety requirements are followed
• Assist with equipment and chemical management inventory control and waste management

You Will:

• Demonstrate the ability to coordinate a team
• Have experience in commercial facility cleaning
• Have sound knowledge of workplace health and saftey compliance
• Be able to work varied hoursduring weekends evenings and public hoidays
• Have great attention to detail and communication skills
• Be able to reside in Cairns for more than12 months
