At the NSW Department of Climate Change Energy the Environment and Water (DCCEEW) were leading significant digital transformation initiatives that support the sustainable management of our states natural environment. Were looking for a passionate and strategic Change Manager to help shape the future of the Biodiversity Offsets Scheme through people-centred change.

As our Change Manager youll play a critical role in driving adoption and embedding change across a major digital transformation program. Youll work closely with project teams technical experts and business stakeholders to ensure new systems processes and ways of working are successfully embraced.

This isnt just about communications and training. Its about understanding people navigating complexity building trust and creating lasting organisational change.

About You

Youre an experienced change professional who understands that successful transformation starts and ends with people.

Youll bring:

  • Demonstrated experience leading organisational change within complex project environments
  • Strong stakeholder engagement influencing and relationship-building skills
  • Exceptional communication skills with the ability to translate complex concepts into clear and meaningful messages
  • Experience designing and implementing change communication and training strategies
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
  • The ability to manage competing priorities while maintaining focus on outcomes

Most importantly youll be someone who can inspire confidence navigate ambiguity and bring people along on the journey.

Who we are

The Department of Climate Change Energy the Environment and Water(DCCEEW) works to protect the states environment and heritage. It leads the way on climate change driving the sustainable transition to a net zero economy powered by affordable reliable and clean energy.

DCCEEW conserves and protects the states natural environment. It manages the NSW national park estate including its rich and diverse biodiversity and Aboriginal cultural heritage for future generations.

DCCEEW also ensures sustainable management of water resources across the state to support the environment communities and industry.

We acknowledge the ongoing custodial responsibilities of the Aboriginal peoples of NSW to care for Country and water and are committed to establishing meaningful partnerships with Aboriginal peoples in the management of the environment.
