The Opportunity

Working closely with operational maintenance finance and procurement stakeholders you will play a critical role in developing category strategies managing supplier relationships and delivering value through effective procurement and contract management practices.

Reporting to the Manager Procurement - Mining Equipment you will:

• Develop and implement category strategies for mining equipment across the business.
• Lead strategic sourcing activities including RFQs supplier evaluations and commercial negotiations.
• Manage key supplier agreements including contract performance KPI reporting quarterly business reviews and dispute resolution.
• Conduct market analysis and maintain category intelligence to identify opportunities risks and emerging trends.
• Build strong relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders to ensure procurement activities align with operational requirements.
• Analyse spend data and maintain category documentation supplier profiles and procurement records.
• Support cost optimisation risk mitigation and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Present category performance insights and sourcing recommendations to key stakeholders and senior leaders.
• Provide procurement guidance and support to internal customers across the business.

About You

You are a commercially minded procurement professional who enjoys building strong supplier partnerships and delivering tangible business outcomes. You bring a strategic mindset strong analytical capability and the confidence to engage with stakeholders at all levels.

To be successful you will possess:

• Bachelors degree in Supply Chain Business Engineering or a related discipline.
• Minimum 5 years experience in strategic procurement category management or sourcing.
• Experience working within mining heavy industry engineering or asset-intensive environments.
• Strong understanding of mining equipment markets and supplier networks.
• Demonstrated negotiation and contract management experience.
• Proven ability to analyse data and translate insights into strategic sourcing decisions.
• Strong stakeholder engagement and relationship management skills.
• Excellent communication organisation and problem-solving abilities.
• High attention to detail and a proactive approach to managing competing priorities.
