Boilermaker/Welder - Heavy Transport Fabrication & Repairs

CrewSELECT is seeking 2 experienced Boilermaker/Welders/Fabricators for upcoming heavy transport fabrication and repair work.

This hands-on role is suited to competent tradespeople with strong experience in heavy vehicle body building heavy plate fabrication and transport equipment repairs. You must be capable of working independently interpreting job requirements and completing repairs and modifications to a high standard.

• Belly dumper repairs
• Skid plate replacements and repairs
• General heavy fabrication and plate work
• Structural repairs and modifications
• Welding cutting grinding and repair work
• Assessing damaged components and determining appropriate repair methods
• Working independently to complete jobs safely and efficiently
• Maintaining a high standard of workmanship and quality control
• Following all workplace safety procedures

To be successful you will have:

• Trade qualification as a Boilermaker/Welder Fabricator or equivalent
• Proven heavy vehicle body-building experience
• Strong heavy fabrication and plate-work skills
• Experience repairing trailers belly dumpers or similar transport equipment
• Confidence completing structural repairs and modifications
• Strong welding skills across heavy-gauge materials
• The ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• A strong commitment to safety quality and productivity

Previous experience with heavy transport or body-buildingwill be highly regarded.

• Current Forklift Licence
• Current Working at Heights
• Current Confined Space Entry
• Ability to successfully complete and pass a weld test with TTS before commencing
• Full Australian working rights
• Reliable transport

• Up to$55/ph penaltiesdepending on experience
• 8-10hr days
