Our client is an established medium-sized hospitality group known for creating community-centric venues that offer a total experience. They pride themselves on a people-first culture and are currently seeking a versatile leader to manage one of their premier properties featuring a busy bar high-performing gaming room and premium accommodation.

The Role

As the Hotel OR Bar Manager you will be the heartbeat of the site. You will have full operational accountability balancing high-energy bar service and gaming compliance with the high-touch hospitality required for guest accommodation. This is a hands-on leadership role where you will be expected to lead from the floor and mentor a diverse team across all departments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Bar & Beverage: Manage a high-volume bar operation including menu curation cellar management and wage-to-revenue control.

  • Gaming Excellence: Oversee the gaming room ensuring strict adherence to Responsible Service of Gambling (RSG) and local licensing laws.

  • Accommodation Management: Oversee room inventory housekeeping standards and guest relations to ensure a seamless stay.

  • Team Leadership: Recruit train and roster a multi-skilled team; drive a culture of excellence and accountability.

  • Financial Performance: Drive site profitability through COGS management labour efficiency and strategic promotions.

  • Compliance: Maintain the propertys license to operate ensuring full compliance with OH&S Liquor and Gaming regulations.


Requirements

  • Experience: 3 years in a senior management role (Venue Manager or Assistant Manager) within a hotel or pub featuring gaming and accommodation.

  • Qualifications: Must hold a current RSA and RSG/RCG/GIE License as required by state law.

  • Attributes: A people focused leader who thrives in fast-paced environments and can pivot between back-end administration and front-facing service.

  • Knowledge: Strong understanding of TAB/Keno operations draught beer systems and property management systems.

Required Skills:

AQF Certificate III in Baking or equivalent qualification OR minimum 35 years relevant commercial baking experience At least 2 years post-qualification or equivalent industry experience Proven experience in artisan and commercial bread production Strong understanding of dough fermentation baking processes and quality control Ability to work early mornings weekends and under pressure Reliable punctual and able to work independently and as part of a team.
