We are seeking an experienced Backend Developer to join a growing engineering team in Sydney. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in building scalable backend services using NestJS and/ with experience in test automation DevOps practices and AI-assisted software development.
Key Skills & Experience:
- Strong backend development experience with NestJS and/
- Design and development of RESTful APIs and microservices
- Hands-on experience with Playwright and test automation frameworks
- Experience implementing CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions
- Understanding of Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) practices
- Strong knowledge of software design patterns and scalable architectures
- Experience with cloud-based applications and containerized environments
- Proficiency in Git code reviews and Agile development methodologies
AI-Assisted Development:
- Hands-on experience with Claude Code and AI coding assistants
- Experience using AI tools for code generation testing debugging and productivity improvements
Requirements:
- 5 years of backend development experience.
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Experience delivering high-quality enterprise-scale applications.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
