Job Summary
- Generate and provide accurate and timely reports presentations and purchasing documentation.
- Compile code categorize calculate tabulate audit and verify purchasing and inventory information.
- Support the Executive Chef and Purchasing & Finance Departments with purchasing activities for Food Beverage and Controllable items.
- Raise purchase orders and coordinate procurement activities based on business requirements.
- Assist in monitoring food and controllable costs to support budget objectives.
- Support inventory rotation practices and encourage adherence to first-in first-out (FIFO) procedures.
- Maintain sanitation and safety standards in accordance with brand guidelines.
- Assist with stock control activities to ensure inventory levels remain efficient and aligned with operational needs.
- Liaise with kitchen teams restaurant management and suppliers to coordinate timely deliveries.
- Verify invoices against received goods to ensure quantities quality weights and specifications are accurate.
- Utilize purchasing and inventory management systems to support food and beverage cost reporting.
- Maintain inventory controls including stock levels product dating rotation and requisition processes.
- Complete administrative duties including filing menu costing support inventory records and general office tasks.
- Assist with period-end inventory counts in accordance with Food & Beverage and Accounting procedures.
- Calculate and reconcile inventory figures as required.
- Communicate pricing changes product availability concerns and supplier issues to the Purchasing & Finance Departments F&B Director and Executive Chef.
- Receive and inspect deliveries to ensure compliance with purchase orders and quality standards.
- Maintain accurate controllable logs and beverage perpetual inventory records.
- Support the administration and processing of invoices while ensuring compliance with accounting procedures.
- Prepare and submit reports within required timeframes.
- Assist in ensuring purchasing records and financial data are accurately maintained.
- Support departmental budget and cost-control initiatives.
- Organize and prioritize workload to meet operational deadlines and business requirements.
- Assist with ensuring taxes and charges relating to purchases are accurately processed and recorded.
- Operational knowledge of hotels is advantageous.
- Previous experience in a purchasing procurement stores or inventory role.
- Strong organizational and administrative skills.
- Relevant procurement experience preferably within a hospitality environment.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Inventory management and stock control experience.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Proficiency with purchasing inventory and Microsoft Office systems.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a fast-paced hotel environment.
