About us

Southside Racing operates high-class horse racing and training facilities at both Tynong and Cranbourne as well as three 7-day-a-week hospitality and entertainment venues the Cardinia Club Club Officer and Silks Cranbourne. These are a vital part of our business and allow us to provide our members with a wide range of hospitality and entertainment options.

The opportunity

We are seeking an experienced and versatile Hospitality All-Rounder to join our dynamic team over Cranbourne and Tynong racecourses. This multifaceted role combines front-of-house excellence with essential behind-the-scenes administrative support. You will play a key part in daily operations ensuring exceptional service standards and smooth backend workflows.

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with the events Functions Catering & Operations teams to ensure seamless event delivery.
  • Supervise and lead bars ensure fully stocked clean & organised for service
  • Oversee bars & catering race days race days functions events and busy peak
  • Monitor cash handling POS operations & end of shift procedures
  • Train and assist new & existing team members in service standards RSA & venue procedures
  • Administration support to Events Team
  • Cash Handling stock control manage event schedules timelines and run sheets.
  • Theming and presentation to customers requirements

Qualifications:

    • Minimum 2-3 years hands on hospitality experience.
    • Previous Barista and Bar experience essential.
    • Experience in functions and events operations coordination and setups.
    • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and event management software.
    • RSA & Food Handling certificates
    • Drivers License
