The position

Werelooking for an Assistant Finance Officer to join our Finance team reporting to theHead of Finance. This is a part-time casual role working 3 days per week supporting the Finance team toenabletimelyandaccuratefinancial reporting and management in support ofTiimelysstrategy and organisational performance.

Youllprovidecoordinationand pro-active liaison with colleagues across Tiimely and supportthe operational delivery of financial frameworks forecasting reporting and financial processing with a strong focus on excellent service.

Your other responsibilities will include:

  • Reconciliation of bank statements and supplier statements.
  • Supplier invoice processing and statement reconciliation.
  • Maintaining the Fixed Asset Register.
  • Administering Receipt Bank and Xero accounts payable.
  • Corporate credit card administration liaising with cardholders to educate and resolve queries.
  • Resolving accounts payable queries with customers and partners.
  • Maintainingaccuratefinancial records of all receivable and payable transactions and verifications.
  • Supporting the Financial Accountant with statutory reporting requirements including preparation of Activity Statements (BAS IAS) and payroll tax.
  • Supporting the Financial Accountant with the monthly review of the general ledger including expense accounts and GST transactions.
  • Supporting the booking and management of companywide travel (flights and accommodation) in line with agreed policies and procedures.
  • Supporting office management duties and ad-hoc projects asrequired.

What Were Looking For

Required

  • Hold or be working towards a relevant tertiary qualification in accountingfinanceor commerce.
  • Experience in asimilar accountspayable bookkeeping or finance support role.
  • Working knowledge of Xero (or similar accounting software) and confidence using Excel.
  • High attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy in financial record-keeping.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing deadlines.
  • A proactive service-oriented approach withstrong communicationskills to liaise effectively across the business.

Desirable

  • Experience administering Receipt Bank or similar expense management platforms.
  • Exposure to BAS/IAS preparation or payroll tax processes.
  • Experience in a fintech financial services or other regulated industry.
