Job Summary

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Assistant Finance Manager to join our Finance team and support the financial operations of the Salter Brothers Accor Portfolio. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Hotel Accountant or current Assistant Finance Manager to broaden their experience across a multi-property portfolio. Working closely with hotel leadership you will support financial performance accurate reporting effective controls and timely financial outcomes across the portfolio.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Managing month-end close reconciliations and financial analysis
  • Completing monthly bank reconciliations and investigating discrepancies
  • Reviewing daily cash balances and maintaining cash flow projections
  • Assisting with annual budgets forecasting and financial planning
  • Assisting with taxation matters and providing relevant financial information
  • Managing inventory and stocktake processes including reporting and analysis
  • Maintaining and monitoring internal control procedures
  • Maintaining the contracts and services register
  • Providing financial guidance training and support to team members
  • Working closely with hotel leadership and operational teams to support sound financial decision-making
  • Ensuring financial processes and reporting are completed accurately and within required deadlines

Qualifications :

Your skills and experience will include:

  • A minimum of 3 years experience as a Hotel Accountant or at least 1 year of experience as an Assistant Finance Manager within a hotel environment
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent attention to detail and a high level of accuracy
  • The ability to prioritise tasks and manage competing deadlines
  • Strong time management and organisational skills
  • The ability to produce high-quality work under tight deadlines
  • A self-motivated proactive and collaborative approach
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to build effective relationships with operational teams
  • Full unrestricted Australian working rights
