As an Assistant Category Manager youll help drive the commercial performance of a category across some of Australias best-known retail brands. Working closely with a Category Manager youll use customer and market insights to shape promotions support category strategy build supplier partnerships and deliver strong sales and profit outcomes.

Here is a taster of what you can expect in this role:

• Help shape and deliver category and promotional strategies
• Use customer shopper and market insights to identify growth opportunities
• Drive category sales profit and promotional performance
• Build strong commercial partnerships with key suppliers
• Support supplier negotiations and joint business opportunities
• Partner with Marketing and eCommerce to deliver customer trade plans
• Analyse performance and turn data into clear commercial actions

Qualifications :

Now lets talk about you: 

• 3 years experience in promotions buying category or a related commercial role
• Strong understanding of category management principles and commercial drivers
• Confident using customer data and insights to inform commercial decisions
• Experience working with suppliers and stakeholders to deliver shared outcomes
• Strong Excel and analytical capability
• An understanding of P&L drivers sales profit and commercial performance
• Drinks industry knowledge is desirable but not essential
