Position Summary:

  • Assist in managing all event and meeting spaces ensuring the team delivers service excellence to engage and inspire guests
  • Support the planning coordination and execution of events to ensure a seamless guest experience
  • Build and strengthen relationships with existing and new customers anticipating their needs and enabling future bookings
  • Manage banquet enquiries in an efficient and effective manner providing timely communication and solutions
  • Assist in leading the Banquets team ensuring operational standards are maintained and guest expectations are exceeded
  • Support the Banquets Manager with rostering training coaching and team development initiatives
  • Ensure all company policies procedures and Marriott brand standards are consistently upheld
  • Act as a key point of contact for internal and external clients assisting with event requirements and operational needs
  • Foster a positive and engaging work environment where associates feel valued for their contributions
  • Assist with departmental strategies and continuous improvement initiatives to drive guest satisfaction and operational success

About You:

  • Hold a current RSA certification
  • Passionate about hospitality and creating memorable guest experiences
  • Previous experience in banquets events food & beverage or a supervisory role
  • Strong leadership communication and organizational skills
  • Working rights in Australia
