Reporting to the Conference and Events Manager you will play a key role in bringing exceptional events to life from the initial operational handover through to the final guest experience.

Working with our Banquets team you will be at the forefront of delivering seamless and sophisticated events acting as a key point of contact for clients while ensuring every detail of their function is executed in line with their expectations. With your natural warmth organisation and attention to detail you will anticipate guest needs resolve challenges with confidence and ensure every event reflects the distinctive elegance and French hospitality of Sofitel.

You will lead from the floor supervising event set-ups service delivery and team performance to ensure every function operates smoothly and efficiently. From coordinating equipment and event requirements to working closely with the kitchen and other hotel departments you will ensure seamless communication and execution before during and after each event. Your presence will embody professionalism and poise creating a service environment that is intuitive personalised and consistently exceeds expectations.

Beyond the guest experience you will support the Conference and Events Manager in the day-to-day leadership and commercial success of the department. You will contribute to effective rostering and labour management maximise revenue opportunities oversee accurate event charging and accounts and maintain operational standards across all Banquets areas. Through coaching communication and a strong commitment to the Heartist attitude you will inspire a high-performing team while ensuring every event delivers the exceptional service operational excellence and memorable experiences synonymous with Sofitel.

Qualifications :

About You

You bring proven experience in conference and events operations with a strong understanding of event execution guest liaison and team supervision. Ideally experienced within a luxury or five-star hospitality environment you have a genuine passion for creating seamless and memorable event experiences with the confidence to anticipate guest needs and resolve challenges with professionalism discretion and finesse.

With strong knowledge of conference and events operations including function room set-ups service delivery event requirements equipment coordination and operational logistics you are highly organised and detail-oriented. You work confidently across departments ensuring clear communication and seamless transitions from event planning through to execution.

As a confident ambassador of the Sofitel brand you thrive in a diverse team environment and lead by example inspiring colleagues through open communication professionalism and the Heartist attitude. Flexible and dependable you embrace a rotating roster including weekends and public holidays while maintaining the highest standards of guest service presentation hygiene and safety.

You hold a current RSA certificate and have full Australian working rights allowing you to work with us without restriction.
