Apprentice Sport Turf Management

Embark on a rewarding learning journey as an Apprentice - Sports Turf Management at The Ridge Golf Club in Barden Ridge NSW. This four-year apprenticeship will equip you with the skills and knowledge needed to build a successful career in the sports turf industry.

Our program offers paid hands-on training under expert mentors helping you develop valuable practical skills while earning a nationally recognised trade qualification. Upon completion youll be well positioned to progress into roles such as Team Leader or Site Manager with the confidence and expertise to succeed.

• Prepare and apply chemicals for pest weed and disease control ensuring safe transportation and storage.
• Install and maintain drainage and pressurised irrigation systems including operation and upkeep.
• Operate a range of machinery and equipment used in golf course and turf maintenance.
• Improve soil quality and plant nutrition to promote healthy turf growth and exceptional playing conditions.
• Control weeds pests diseases and disorders affecting turf areas.
• Assist with the renovation and construction of sports turf facilities.
• Follow safe work practices and equipment operating procedures.

You may not have prior experience in sports turf management but youre punctual dependable and willing to embrace the early start times that are part of maintaining exceptional golf course conditions.

You enjoy working outdoors take pride in your work and can interact confidently with people from all walks of life.

You already hold or are willing to obtain a White Card and Working with Children Check. A current drivers licence is desirable but not essential.

You must be an Australian citizen to satisfy the government requirements associated with the apprenticeship training program.
