Apprentice | High Voltage Electrician

During this 4-year apprenticeship youll be working alongside experienced tradespeople you will complete a nationally recognised qualification while developing the skills needed for a rewarding career in the mining industry.

As a Apprentice High Voltage Electrician you will:

• Assist with the maintenance and repair of high voltage electrical equipment and systems.
• Support fault finding and troubleshooting activities.
• Participate in planned and breakdown maintenance activities.
• Learn and apply safe work practices and procedures.
• Complete all apprenticeship training requirements and assessments.
• Maintain accurate records and documentation.
• Contribute to a positive safety culture and team environment.

Qualifications :

• Successful completion of Year 12 (or equivalent)
• Sound achievement in Mathematics and English
• Genuine interest in pursuing a career as an Electrical Tradesperson specialising in High Voltage systems
• Strong commitment to workplace safety and safe work practices
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment
• Good communication and problem-solving skills
• Current Australian drivers licence (or ability to obtain during the apprenticeship)

Desirable

• Certificate II in Electrotechnology (UEE22020) or equivalent pre-apprenticeship qualification
• Previous exposure to electrical mining industrial or construction environments
• Current First Aid and CPR certification
• Working at Heights or Confined Space training
• Demonstrated mechanical or technical aptitude through employment study hobbies or extracurricular activities
