Apprentice Diesel Mechanic (2nd or 3rd Year)

Bunbury Diesel Service is a family-owned and operated business that has proudly serviced the Bunbury community since 2000. We are seeking a motivated 2nd or 3rd Year Apprentice Diesel Mechanic to join our growing team.

About the Business

Based in Bunbury we carry out repairs servicing and diagnostics on a wide range of heavy medium and light commercial vehicles. Our workshop undertakes in-house repairs on engines drivelines brakes suspension fuel systems as well as electronic diagnostics and repairs.

Qualification: Heavy Vehicle Road Transport Diesel Mechanic Apprenticeships

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist qualified tradespeople with servicing repairs and diagnostics
  • Carry out workshop tasks under supervision
  • General workshop cleaning and housekeeping
  • Pick up and deliver parts and components
  • Communicate with customers both in person and over the phone
  • Order parts from suppliers via phone and online platforms
About You

We are looking for someone who is:

  • Mechanically minded and keen to learn
  • Honest reliable and respectful
  • Energetic and willing to work in a hands-on environment
  • Able to work effectively as part of a team
  • Committed to completing their apprenticeship
Desirable Qualifications and Licences
  • Manual drivers licence (essential)
  • Forklift licence highly regarded
  • HR truck licence highly regarded

We would also consider a current Motor Vehicle Mechanic apprentice who is interested in transitioning into the diesel mechanic trade. Our business services and maintains fleets of both heavy vehicles and light commercial vehicles providing diverse learning opportunities.
