What we are looking for:

What your day will look like:

• Providing daily care for animals including feeding watering enrichment monitoring health and wellbeing and administering basic treatments.
• Maintaining clean safe and compliant animal housing including waste disposal and facility upkeep.
• Assisting with animal intake adoptions reunifications and customer enquiries relating to animal welfare services.
• Maintaining accurate records and updating Council systems for animal movements treatments fees and impoundment documentation.
• Supporting compliance requirements disease control processes stock monitoring basic maintenance tasks and rostered after-hours responsibilities.

What youll need for success:

• Demonstrated experience and knowledge of animal welfare animal handling and facility operations.
• Ability to communicate effectively with staff volunteers and the public.
• Problemsolving ability attention to detail and time management skills.
• Ability to work under general supervision and as part of a team.
• Proficient computer literacy including the ability to use corporate systems and comply with relevant legislation guidelines and Council procedures.

Whats nice to have:

• Animal facilities experience or similar.
• Authorised implanter (microchipping) qualification.
• Certificate 3 (AQF Level 3 or above) in Animal Studies or Veterinary Nursing qualification.
