What we are looking for:
What your day will look like:
- Providing daily care for animals including feeding watering enrichment monitoring health and wellbeing and administering basic treatments.
- Maintaining clean safe and compliant animal housing including waste disposal and facility upkeep.
- Assisting with animal intake adoptions reunifications and customer enquiries relating to animal welfare services.
- Maintaining accurate records and updating Council systems for animal movements treatments fees and impoundment documentation.
- Supporting compliance requirements disease control processes stock monitoring basic maintenance tasks and rostered after-hours responsibilities.

What youll need for success:
- Demonstrated experience and knowledge of animal welfare animal handling and facility operations.
- Ability to communicate effectively with staff volunteers and the public.
- Problemsolving ability attention to detail and time management skills.
- Ability to work under general supervision and as part of a team.
- Proficient computer literacy including the ability to use corporate systems and comply with relevant legislation guidelines and Council procedures.
Whats nice to have:
- Animal facilities experience or similar.
- Authorised implanter (microchipping) qualification.
- Certificate 3 (AQF Level 3 or above) in Animal Studies or Veterinary Nursing qualification.
