Aircraft Life Support Engineer

About the Role

At Toll Aviation we support critical aviation operations across Australia through safe reliable and mission-ready aircraft. We are seeking an Aircraft Life Support Engineer (ALSE) to ensure the operational readiness maintenance and compliance of critical life support equipment across our rotary-wing fleet. Working closely with Engineering Flight Operations and Supply Chain teams you will ensure life support systems remain serviceable compliant and available to support operational requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct inspections maintenance repair and certification of aircraft life support equipment.
  • Manage maintenance schedules and ensure compliance with CASA regulations and company procedures.
  • Maintain asset traceability configuration control and serviceability records.
  • Monitor inspection intervals expiries and shelf-life requirements.
  • Manage inventory spares and consumables for life support equipment.
  • Provide technical advice and support to aircrew and maintenance personnel.
  • Support audits and maintain accurate records within GANNET.
  • Investigate equipment faults and implement corrective actions.
  • Deliver training and guidance on the correct use and handling of life support systems.

About You

You are a safety-focused and detail-oriented aviation professional who enjoys working in a highly regulated technical environment.

  • Minimum 3 years experience in aviation maintenance aircraft components defence aviation or a similar technical and regulated environment.
  • Aviation Cert II in Aeroskills (or military equivalent).
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to compliance and safety.
  • Good computer literacy including Microsoft Office and ERP systems.
  • Australian Driver Licence.
  • Eligibility to obtain an NV1 Security Clearance.
  • Ability to work around aircraft including in confined spaces and at to travel domestically as required

Highly Desirable

  • Certificate III in Aircraft Life Support and Furnishing and/or
  • Certificate IV in Aeronautical Life Support Equipment (ALSE).
  • Experience maintaining aircraft life support systems and associated equipment.
  • Experience with aviation stores logistics or asset management systems.
  • Previous rotary-wing defence emergency services or airborne operations experience.
  • Dangerous Goods qualification.
  • Experience with aircraft line or base maintenance.

While candidates who already hold a Certificate III in Aircraft Life Support and Furnishing and/or Certificate IV in Aeronautical Life Support Equipment (ALSE) will be highly regarded we also welcome applications from individuals who are currently enrolled and actively working towards completing the qualification.
