Job Summary

Your opportunityAs a Speech Pathologist youll work as part of a multidisciplinary Allied Health team delivering person-centred assessments interventions and education programs on site at our Wellness Centres across clients homes ECH Independent Living Units and community evidence-based practice and a holistic approach to care youll support older people to maintain and improve optimal communication and swallowing achieve meaningful outcomes maximise independence and live the best life make an impact byConducting comprehensive speech pathology assessments and developing tailored treatment plans to support communication swallowing and overall individual therapy education and self-management strategies that empower clients and carers to achieve their communication and swallowing health promotion initiatives and group programs that enhance client outcomes and community individual clinic and home-based speech pathology sessions including running Talkback group sessions for people with collaboratively with Allied Health professionals to provide holistic person-centred for clients and supporting informed decision-making regarding their health and youll bringTo succeed in this role youll ideally have:A Bachelors degree in Speech Pathology (or equivalent).Certified Practising Membership with Speech Pathology Australia (SPA) or eligibility to obtain membership.A current National Police Check (or willingness to obtain one).A current drivers licence and the ability to travel between client would also love you to bring the following skills:Experience working with people living with aphasia and swallowing issues. Experience delivering speech pathology services within community health aged care or rehabilitation assessment clinical reasoning and treatment planning communication and relationship-building abilities.A commitment to person-centred care and positive client ability to work independently while contributing to a multidisciplinary organisational skills and attention to join ECHWe want you to be MORE with us.
