In this role you will support the assessment of transport and infrastructure proposals that help communities thrive. Working alongside experienced engineers and planning professionals youll contribute to decisions that influence how places are designed connected and supported by infrastructure. From growing neighbourhoods to major developments your work will help ensure communities have access to safe reliable and sustainable transport infrastructure that supports everyday life.
Were looking for someone who:
- Is motivated by creating better outcomes for communities through infrastructure and transport planning.
- Brings a background in civil or transport engineering with an interest in how infrastructure supports growing and connected communities.
- Enjoys understanding how things work in the real world analysing information and contributing to practical solutions for complex challenges.
- Has strong communication skills and can explain technical concepts clearly building understanding across a range of stakeholders.
- Values collaboration and learning working effectively with colleagues while continuing to build your technical capability.
- Brings curiosity initiative and attention to detail with a commitment to delivering quality outcomes that make a lasting difference.
Essential requirements
- Tertiary qualification in a related relevant discipline or equivalent relevant experience e.g. Bachelor of Engineering (Civil/Transport).
Eligibility for professional recognition or registration as an engineer is desirable where relevant to the role and the departments workforce requirements.
