Position Summary:

Were hiring an Accountant with at least 2 years Australian public practice experience to join our Mackay team.

Not a Senior Accountant yet Thats okay. If youre technically sound enjoy working with clients and want to progress based on your ability not simply years of service we want to hear from you.

At Ready Accounting youll have opportunities to move into senior roles leadership and potentially equity over time.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and review complex individual corporate partnership and trust tax returns
• Prepare and review financial statements ensuring compliance with applicable accounting standards
• Communicate directly with clients and build strong relationships
• Manage your allocated work and deadlines
• Work alongside junior accountants who support your workload
• Review supporting work and provide guidance where required

Skills:

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in public accounting
• Strong technical knowledge across tax and financial reporting
• Enjoys being client-facing confident dealing directly with clients and technically sound
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
• Superior verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
• Proficiency in accounting software Xero
• HandiTax experience advantageous
• Karbon workflow experience is advantageous
• High level of integrity and professionalism
