About this job:
Q-Sourcing Tanzania Limited is a manpower management solutions firm operating in the East African Region in the countries of Tanzania Uganda Kenya Rwanda and South Sudan.
On behalf of our Tanzania based client we are looking for a competent and experienced Mechanical Technician.
POSITION IN THE COMPANY
Position Label : Mechanical Technician.
KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Main Areas of Responsibility:
- Inspect service troubleshoot and repair pumps conveyors gearboxes filling and packaging machines pipework valves compressors and other plant machinery.
- Perform planned preventive maintenance equipment alignment lubrication fitting and replacement of worn components.
- Respond quickly to breakdowns identify root causes and recommend measures to improve equipment reliability and reduce downtime.
- Maintain workshop tools and maintenance records while complying with plant safety hygiene and quality procedures
MANDATORY REQUIREMENTS
KNOWLEDGE SKILLS EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
Education
- Higher National Diploma in Mechanical Engineering
Work Experience:
- Four years of relevant experience in a busy manufacturing environment.
ADDED ADVANTAGE
Language Skills:
- Knowledge of fabrication welding pneumatics hydraulics and safe maintenance practices
