ملخص الوظيفة

We are seeking an experienced and visionary Senior Commercial Manager to join our organization in Jeddah Saudi this strategic leadership role you will drive commercial excellence across major infrastructure and development programs in the region. You will be responsible for high-value commercial management complex contract interpretation and the strategic preparation and negotiation of project variations and claims. This position offers the opportunity to shape commercial strategy while mentoring teams and fostering a culture of financial discipline and commercial awareness.

  • **Project Financial Analysis**: Conduct regular and comprehensive project reviews to identify financial risks analyze performance metrics and propose effective mitigation strategies to protect project margins
  • **Cost Control and Monitoring**: Review cash flow analyses prepared by project teams monitor cost expenditures and ensure projects remain within budget parameters while maintaining quality standards
  • **Earned Value Management (EVM)**: Lead the implementation and oversight of EVM systems across projects providing guidance to teams on best practices and performance measurement
  • **Margin Management**: Work collaboratively with project teams to control margin erosion identify improvement opportunities and implement corrective actions to enhance profitability
  • **Working Capital Optimization**: Assist project teams in reducing Work in Progress (WIP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) while monitoring billings and cash collections to improve liquidity
  • **Risk and Opportunity Management**: Proactively identify assess and manage commercial risks and opportunities throughout the project lifecycle ensuring the organizations interests are protected
  • **Claims Management and Dispute Resolution**: Analyze project developments scope changes and design modifications to determine entitlement to variations or claims; prepare and support claim submissions to clients with evidence-based arguments
  • **Contract Negotiation and Support**: Provide expert guidance to project teams during the bidding stage to negotiate favorable contract terms and conditions aligned with organizational objectives
  • **Commercial Leadership and Mentorship**: Cultivate a commercial mindset across the organization by educating project teams on risk identification scope management and financial drivers of successful project delivery; conduct training sessions and provide ongoing guidance on contractual interpretation
  • **Cross-Functional Collaboration**: Serve as the primary commercial interface between project teams finance legal and senior management to streamline operations and safeguard project performance
  • **Regional Reporting and Advisory**: Provide data-driven insights and strategic commercial reporting to regional leadership on major projects and initiatives supporting informed decision-making

Qualifications :

**Required Qualifications:**

  • Bachelors degree in Quantity Surveying Engineering or a related field
  • Minimum 15 years of relevant experience in infrastructure engineering consultancy or commercial project management
  • At least 7 years of progressive experience in a managerial or senior commercial capacity
  • Deep expertise in contract forms structures and commercial management practices
  • Proven track record managing large-scale infrastructure civil engineering or development projects
  • Advanced ability to conduct forensic analysis of project delays and contractual entitlements using logical evidence-based reasoning
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in English
  • Demonstrated experience in cost control cash flow analysis and financial risk management
  • Strong proficiency in claims management contract negotiation and dispute resolution
  • Experience working with major clients statutory bodies or government organizations
  • Proficiency in Earned Value Management (EVM) and project financial management systems

**Preferred Qualifications:**

  • Professional chartership or membership in recognized bodies (e.g. MRICS MICE or equivalent)
  • Experience with infrastructure projects in the Middle East or Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) region
  • Familiarity with Saudi Arabian regulatory environment and business practices
  • Knowledge of local and regional contract standards and commercial practices
  • Experience in a multicultural and international working environment
  • Proficiency in Arabic language
  • Track record of successfully mentoring and developing commercial teams
  • Experience with enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems and project management software
  • Demonstrated ability to drive organizational change and implement commercial best practices
