KalSoft is looking for an experienced Senior Oracle Solaris Engineer to operate secure and modernize Oracle Solaris and SPARC environments supporting critical government systems. The role covers day-to-day administration patching compliance and leading upgrade or migration projects for environments approaching support deadlines.

• Administer Oracle Solaris 10 11.3 and 11.4 environments including SRU patching and lifecycle management.
• Manage SPARC infrastructure including T/M-series servers Oracle VM Server for SPARC (LDoms) ILOM and firmware.
• Configure and support Solaris Zones Kernel Zones ZFS storage SMF services and IPS packaging.
• Operate high-availability clusters using Oracle Solaris Cluster or Veritas InfoScale and support Oracle Database workloads.
• Assess end-of-support exposure and lead upgrades to Solaris 11.4 or migrations to Oracle Linux / RHEL.
• Harden systems against the NIA Standard and client security baselines and remediate audit and vulnerability findings.
• Automate routine operations using Shell Python and Ansible while maintaining runbooks and disaster recovery procedures.
• Provide L3 incident and problem management including on-call support for critical systems.

• Minimum 5 years of hands-on Solaris administration experience in production enterprise environments.
• Strong experience with SPARC hardware and virtualization (LDoms).
• Deep knowledge of ZFS Zones SMF DTrace and Solaris networking.
• Experience with clustering and disaster recovery for business-critical workloads.
• Proven experience delivering at least one Solaris upgrade or Solaris-to-Linux migration project.
• Strong troubleshooting analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work in enterprise production environments supporting critical systems.

• Oracle Certified Associate / Professional Oracle Solaris certification.
• RHEL (RHCSA/RHCE) or Oracle Linux certification.
• Experience with Oracle Database on SPARC and Oracle Exadata/SuperCluster.
• Experience in telecom or banking back-office environments in the GCC.
