SENIOR MECHANICAL ENGINEER

Key Responsibilities :

• Leading and carrying out complete Mechanical HVAC Plumbing & Firefighting discipline designs to required standards and quality
• Carry out mechanical design for treatment plants and pumping stations to PWA standards and quality as and when assigned by the team lead.
• Initiating and developing the concept designs with optioneering for complete Mechanical HVAC Plumbing & Firefighting systems designs
• Excellent report writing skills.
• Preparing and generating spread sheets to carry out calculations.
• Coordination with other Discipline Engineers as applicable.
• Coordinate with BIM/CAD Technicians concerning project requirements and timelines.
• Conducting client and project meetings as required by the project.
• Carry out steady state and surge analysis modeling for pressurized networks.
• Ensure statutory and regulatory requirements are met in all designs.
• Support the project submittals and No Objection Certificates (NOC) process to the relevant Authorities.
• Allocating resources and time effectively
• Stay updated with relevant technical developments within the discipline.
• Understand the contract and scope of project deliverables.
• Ensure that Health & Safety is embedded into all work practices in line with company policies.
• Provide regular work status updates including risks or concerns to Seniors or MEP manager.
• Attend and contribute in team and project meetings as required.
• Complete accurate time sheets by set deadline.
• Take on additional duties as assigned by management.

Key Responsibilities:

• Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent qualification.
• At least 15 years of overall experience.
• Extensive experience in design development.
• Advanced proficiency in relevant software including AutoCAD BIM/Revit HAP Elite Watergems etc. .
• Must have thorough knowledge of industry practices and regulations.
• Excellent written and oral communication.
• Extensive experience in Doha/Qatar is highly preferred.
