Responsibilities
- Perform inspection maintenance troubleshooting and repair of deck machinery and mechanical equipment.
- Maintain winches capstans pumps hydraulic systems deck cranes and related marine equipment.
- Carry out preventive and corrective maintenance as per schedules and manuals.
- Identify mechanical faults replace defective parts and support equipment testing.
- Maintain tools spare parts and maintenance records.
- Follow PTW LOTO housekeeping and marine HSE procedures.
Requirements
- Minimum 35 years of Deck Mechanic experience in marine projects.
- Experience on vessels barges shipyards ports or marine facilities.
- Good knowledge of hydraulic pneumatic rotating and deck machinery systems.
- Able to troubleshoot mechanical faults and perform repair/overhaul activities.
- Familiar with preventive maintenance and equipment inspection practices.
- Trade certificate / Diploma in Mechanical or relevant discipline preferred.
Required Skills:
Physical Fitness: Ability to lift carry and move heavy materials; work in confined or elevated spaces. Experience: Previous experience in insulation work is an advantage but not always required for helper roles. Knowledge: Basic understanding of insulation materials tools and techniques (training is usually provided for helpers). Team Player: Willingness to work under supervision and assist skilled workers. Work Conditions: Comfortable working in cold environments outdoors or at heights. Communication: Ability to follow verbal and written instructions; basic understanding of workplace safety signs and labels.
