leaching & reagent operator

To operate the leaching circuit and manage reagent dosing and handling maintaining target leach conditions safely and efficiently.

• Operate agitated leach tanks and thickeners per standard operating procedures
  
• Prepare dose and monitor process reagents (e.g. sulphuric acid reductants) to target set-points
  
• Monitor pH temperature density and other leach parameters adjusting as instructed
  
• Handle and store reagents safely in line with HSE and COSHH/MSDS requirements
  
• Take and label process samples for lab analysis as required
  
• Report abnormal conditions to the Team Leader promptly
  
• Maintain accurate shift logs and housekeeping standards
  

Qualifications:

Essential:

• Secondary education; basic process/plant operations training
  

Experience:

Essential:

• 2 years experience as a process operator in a leaching hydrometallurgical or chemical processing environment
  
• Prior antimony-specific experience is not required - equivalent experience in copper or other base-metal hydrometallurgical operations is acceptable.
  

Desirable:

• Experience with reagent/chemical handling and COSHH procedures
