Scrum Master

Job Description

• Help one or more teams self-organize and helps in building an environment that enables delivering business value and a great product.
• Coach the team, product owner and individuals in effective Agile practices, lead and/or facilitate Scrum and/or other processes.
• Remove and escalate impediments and shields the team from external distractions.
• Coordinate across teams to facilitate handshakes and resolution of technical dependencies.
• Guide the team and organization on how to use scrum & other Agile practices and methodologies.
• Oversee scrum process and coaches the team; facilitates transparency, inspection and adaptation.
• Lead daily scrum, sprint review, and planning meetings in a way that ensures full team engagement.
• Support Product Owner and team in backlog grooming and release planning.
• Remove impediments (eg., cultural barriers, logistic challenges, coordination w/other teams).
• Foster close cooperation across all team members, encourage cross-training and supporting each other.
• Facilitate communication and collaboration inside and outside the team.
• Shield the team from external interference and ensure the team is fully functional and productive.
• Foster self-organization and growth within the team.
• Build a trusting and safe environment where problems can be raised.
• Help the scrum team achieve higher levels of scrum maturity.

Job Requirements

• Certified Scrum Master
• Prior experience on a scrum team.
• Experience in Project management, change management and transformation.
• Ability to analyze and think quickly and to resolve conflict
• Knowledgeable in techniques to fill in gaps in the scrum
• Ability to determine what is scrum and what is not.
• Experience with successful Agile techniques.
• Ability to work with and lead a team.
• Strong communication, interpersonal and mentoring skills.
• Ability to adapt to a changing environment.
• Self-motivation and ability to stay focused in the middle of distraction.
